Amy Coney Barrett's adopted children

First, Just because a white person has an adoptive black kid, a biological black kid, or a black spouse does not make them immune from being a racist. Matter of fact, I have met a few that have the latter two and they like to use their ties to say they aren't racist.

I have seen this photo of her family a few times....and every time I see it, I don’t even like how the two adopted kids are positioned. I think to myself “Why are they the bookends on the photo?” They already stand out because of their color, but putting them on the end highlights it more, almost as if they aren’t part of the family.

Agree with your point, but have a hard time criticizing anyone for taking on kids that need parents. Hoyt Oct 2020 #3

It's like it's planned to the size, age, weight, and color.

Oh, this tweet from your link: the tweets continue at the link in his name

Her bio kids get the list of accomplishments. Her two adopted ones get a load of crap about what she saved them from.

I absolutely hate her and the above is one of many reasons why.

on that one. As an adoptee who was raised with three siblings who weren't adopted, I can say that an adoptee often is treated differently than the biological ones, not necessarily better or worse, but differently. In Barrett's case, however, that might have been intentional staging, to showcase the children and indicate what a wonderful parent she is. Or the children themselves might feel like outsiders, which could cause them to move to the outer perimeter of the family.

Of course, the bottom line for me is I really don't care about her personal life or what kind of a mother she is. I care about what kind of justice she will be and I don't think she deserves to serve on the Supreme Court. The rest is just superficial details.
