Since in most places, they cannot close the polls until the last person in line at the time they are supposed to close, will they keep the polls open long enough for all to vote?

If they do, they might as well stay open 24 hours a day since by the time they take care of everyone in line it will only be an hour or two before they have to reopen.

We can't rely on the SCOTUS now. IF Biden is re-elected, and with a Senate and House majority. Is there no avenue to which a federal law can be passed that insures States must provide adequate opportunity and voting in a timely manner? How about announcing a national holiday every federal voting day, once every two years? Something.

What if we guaranteed sufficient funding for states that want to make voting easier? Funds could be awarded to precincts/states/districts for meeting certain criteria such as percentage of eligible voters showing up to vote and keeping waiting times down to a manageable 20 minutes. We could circulate an election bill to states to be passed by state democratic-led states (in the beginning).

Voting must be made easier.

This is just crazy that this situation exists.

The Ohio SOS has mandated only one polling place even for the counties of over a Million people. (same one polling place as for my rural county of about 30 thousand.

I was able to vote early in-person about 20 minutes after the early voting opened back on October 6th. My line was only about 15 minutes long and it moved very quickly.

We need to purge the Republicans out of this state, especially the SOS that made up these stupid rules.

I hope we don't have another shit show like this on the final day of voting of the traditional election day of Nov 3rd. Hopefully there will be more open precincts.

on election day because the Rethugs running the state had purposely reduced the # of voting machines they had. Arguably, Kerry could have won Ohio & the election if the state hadn't made the wait a lot longer in Cuyahoga County.

I wonder if the large lines now are just due to the heavy turnout, or if again the state is purposely trying to make things move very slowly. If there's a 10 hour line, more people are bound to give up than if the wait is 40 minutes, or something.

Same as rural counties with 50,000 voters. Somehow OH thinks that's fair.
