Ted Cruz: Hunter Biden attacks don't move 'a single voter'

Normally I don't care what the Zodiac Killer has to say about anything but I think this statement by him today is important. He is admitting that the Hunter Biden attacks have fell absolutely flat with voters and he seems to be signaling that Trump has wasted what precious little time was left in the election rambling about a story that most either didn't believe or didn't care about. This is one of Trump's closest allies all but admitting the Hunter Biden narrative was a massive mistake for Republicans to focus on. Say what you will about him but Cruz definitely isn't dumb. He sees the writing on the wall and seems to have given up on trying to help, almost giving a post mortem assessment of Trump's failed campaign or is trying to distance himself by coming out and more or less saying "what a fucking idiot Trump has been". If I was a Republican, I wouldn't feel good about someone like Ted Cruz giving a somewhat somber view of Trump's final days in this election.

Edit: Again, let me reiterate that I'm not posting this and saying "Ted Cruz is one of the good Republicans" or that we should be welcoming Ted Cruz's insights in general. Instead I think it's proof that Trump's enablers, who were more opportunists instead of die hard Trump cult member, are quickly distancing themselves from Trump because they expect a brutal election night. When it comes to the election, that is good news. Beyond that I have no respect or love for Cruz and I'm not saying that "all is forgiven!" when it comes to people like Ted Cruz. Just what he is hinting at in this interview, which is a likely Trump landslide defeat due to his own bullshit agenda and concerns.

Sen. Ted Cruz (R-Texas) says he doesn't think that President Trump's attacks on Hunter Biden will move even one voter.

Cruz told Jonathan Swan of Axios in an interview that Democratic presidential nominee Joe Biden's "best moment" in the Oct. 22 debate came when he brushed off Trump's attacks on his family and turned to the camera to tell viewers that their families matter more.

"One of Biden's best points was when he said all these attacks back and forth about my family and [Trump's] family, they don't matter. What matters is your family. That may have been Biden's best moment, actually," Cruz said.

The second hand has started moving. After Trump loses, the whole clock face will be spinning like crazy.

6. All of the Republicans know this shit

many of them are far from as stupid as they act. It’s theatre to them, it’s pantomime and there’s a vested interest in keeping their voters stupid so that they can enrich their paymasters and line their own pockets. That makes the embrace of Trump so much worse than if Cruz & co were just complete imbeciles.

11. As I said, I don't think Ted Cruz is dumb

By all accounts he is an intelligent person. He's also a sniveling snake but he knows better than to believe everything Trump and his cult says. He's not a blind trump loyalist. He's an opportunist and a trump enabler but he isn't blinded by faith in Trump. He knows what's coming and wants get as far away from Trump before he implodes. I think we will look back on moments like this and say "there was evidence that Republicans were quietly leaving Trump to his fate before the election". Not that we should give them credit but instead right now take it as a sign that Trump is heading for a massive loss and the Republicans know it.

Not gonna work, Ted. We're coming for you in 2022. Start planning your next career move now, because you're not going to have much to do in the next Congress except bleat about how unfair it is for the Democratic majority to run its agenda over your impotent objections.

It's the fact that he just doesn't care that makes him evil - that makes him a Republican.

Of course the Hunter Biden story is all lies, the point is that Chump doesn't care.

He knew Obama was born in the U.S., and he didn't care. He knew that Hillary's emails were okay, and he didn't care. He knew that Mexico wouldn't pay for the wall, and he didn't care. Is anybody seeing a pattern here?

17. I've heard that said quite a bit

I think maybe most recently in the New York Times but regardless, I have heard quite a few analyst say that Trump was peppering in insults and references to the Hunter Biden nonsense through out the debate. However, most people watching didn't notice or had no clue what he was talking about because he was making references you would only catch if you are a die hard Breitbart and Daily Caller reader. Unless you're already totally invested in far right media outlets then odds most of what Trump said at the debate had zero meaning to you. And as Cruz is saying, it didn't work. It was just a massive waste of time during a critical time in the final days of the election.

Except for their Republican rabid base. That is what happens when you make a little boy Dear Leader that throws tantrums and screams tirades at people, while continuously warning that the socialist boogeyman is coming to destroy the country their Dear Leader has abused, defaced, and pillaged.

19. That it is how it should have been for HRC also, yet we had whole areas of our party feeding this

to the media in a whine, or Republican party and the nation in attacks. It pisses me off is all. This is what she should have been afforded too and I think we should recognize it now we see what it looks like. From the start with Comey, we knew it was old emails that had already been looked at. Right there should have been the end of the story but media, Republicans and too many Democrats let it happen.

I am excited for this election Nov 3. I am really interested to see just how big that wave is. I am jazzed. How many could say that in 2016. 2021 is looking much better. This is why I love this time of the season. Leaves, holidays, family and opportunity for the New Year.

Another huge difference? We have had Trump for four years throwing shit at the nation, every single day, without rest. Most all of us are exhausted. And we see another handful of months ahead of us.
