However, it seems that the gun rights advocates are pushing this as THEIR right and that obfuscates the intimidation.

They can get away with it?

The state lawmakers decided where guns can or can't be carried, the Secretary of State, no matter how good her reasoning doesn't have the authority to change those laws.

it's not that they won't enforce it, it's that they can't legally enforce it without violating MI open carry law.

when given an absolutely ridiculous interpretation of 'open carry in voting places' when I stated that my polling place is a school:

"I'm sure 'Open carry allowed in schools with CPL though weapon can't be concealed but school can ban open carry except it's not really a school if you are using the school to vote' will be of comfort to the family of any person murdered while trying to vote."

will the judge side with people who shoe up to ask the gun toters embarrassing questions? "Is that gun as big as your junk?" 'Are you afraid all these unarmed people are going to hurt you?' "Have you been a bully all your life or only after you started carrying a gun?"

There is nothing so embarrassing as walking past a gun-toting fool and ignoring his ass. Indifference is a killer.
