(1,843 posts)shared with so many people with the click of a button? These internets allow us to share a like mind while remaining as different as can be. In here there are no races, no colors, no accents, no genders, no ages.
No one approaches anyone else with a preconceived notion about anyone. Too bad the real world cannot be such..... if it were many other nets both real and imagined would be cut and abandoned as well they should be.
(These internets is a stab at humor)

(7,768 posts)Yes, the internets!
FYI, with "the click of a button" I just shared this video with my 89 year old "with it" Aunt who has learned and embraced the computer and internet!
She was THRILLED to watch it.
Amazing...these internets and series of tubes!
Thanks again!

(8,514 posts)When in the history of this world could so much positive and uplifting video, ideas, feelings be shared with so many people with the click of a button? The internet is changing the world; democratizing it. I hope it is not too late for the planet.

(14,177 posts)but, then whales wouldn't be trapped in nets in the first place. I am ok with that.

(4,325 posts)I saw a humpback whale in '96 at Cape Cod. It came right up to the boat that I was on and looked me in the eye as if to say, How do I look? That was my first trip up there; I went again 3 years ago. Wish I could go every summer.

BTW, Mr. Fishback's phone number @ the end is a landline # in Yancey County, NC, in the Blue Ridge Mountains of NC. Most of Western NC outside Asheville, Buncombe County, and Cullowhee (home of Western Carolina U) is deep Red currently represented by Heath Schuler. Open seat coming up and redistricting, so look for this one to go back R.
