Do I understand it correctly, that they will start hearing like next week but that a final decision not expected until the middle of next year?

If yes, than the new President the House and the Senate should be able to come with a new and improved ACA?

1. A new ACA can't be drafted until the Supreme Court decides.

At that point, if the court strikes it down, they will have to address whatever constitutional problems the court finds and redraft it to address them.

Barrett has already ruled against plaintiffs siting the ADA ( Americans with Disabilities Act). The GOP is eager to eliminate the accessibility obligations for businesses and special education in public schools. Watch for this before January 2021

It first has to grant a writ and then have the hearing..

5. I cannot imagine they can vote to overturn without sending back to congress.

There must be a remedy to whatever they discern as "unconstitutional".
