I mailed mine, but I did it well in advance. At this time, if people haven't mailed their ballot, drop box (or by whichever other rule their state allows them to return the ballot that doesn't involve USPS) is the best option.

Just gotta wonder tho, is there a way to track them to see how long they are sitting in the post office? We both dropped ours off at the court House.
