Kushner to Woodward on April 18, 2020: "The last thing was kind of doing the guidelines ... it was almost like Trump getting the country back from the doctors. Right? In the sense that what he now did was, you know, hes going to own the open-up."
Jeffrey Guterman @JeffreyGuterman 2m
Kushner to Woodward on April 18, 2020: "And what Trumps been able to do is, I say he basically did a full hostile takeover of the Republican Party. And I dont think its even as much about the issues. I think its about the attitude."

The willing accomplices like McConnell, Graham, and Barr. No one can peel back how far the layers of corruption go.

(2,626 posts)tRump's hostile takeover of the Republican party confirmed by his son in law. tRump's hostile takeover of control over the deadly Coronavirus from scientific experts and medical personnel confirmed by his son in law.
The reality show drama continues. Let's hope this revelation is a thread that actually contributes to the unraveling of the tRump family evil empire by winding itself around their scheming necks.
Or will MSM ignore it?

(15,613 posts)Trump retains nearly 100% support among Republican voters. Republican elected officials have cheered him on and rubber-stamped everything he's wanted, in lockstep. Many popular and influential Republican Christian leaders have preached that loyalty to Trump is essentially a tenet of the Christian faith. The Republican Party declined to write a platform this year, instead they published a letter stating that they intend to enthusiastically support Trump in whatever he wants.
There was no takeover, hostile or otherwise. Trump is the leader the Republicans have wished for. He is the very embodiment of Republicanism.

(2,626 posts)seemed all that crazy about him until after he was elected. Then they did a 180. It was enough of a turn around for Lindsay Graham to be featured in a Lincoln Project ad. It's my understanding that Graham played a game of golf with the new POTUS and was suddenly a great supporter. I wonder how it happened with the others.

(15,613 posts)that their voters back home were enthralled with Trump. When it became clear how popular he was with them, and they had the House and the Senate, the ranking Republicans realized this was their big chance to do a bunch of the things they've wanted to do all along.

So many people said I was being too hard on them & overestimating their bigotry, corruption, dishonestly, hypocrisy, lack of decency & morals, disdain for justice, etc., etc., etc.
Despite the RW propaganda trying to deny it, all the clues were there. I never understood how so many people didn't see it.

(9,090 posts)when mccain had campaign co chair manafort, who had hooked up with russian agent klimnick 2 years before and was basically working for putin - job description was to get putin favorites elected in foreign countries, and llimbaugh would not support mccain until minutes after he picked palin. palin had been wooed by russian oil and gas.
are russians calling rw radio shows? is limbaugh mentor conrad black, who supports russian joining G8 a conduit? all putin had to do was feed limbaugh - limbaugh cordinates with trump - there are plenty of indirect rw media ways to get limbaugh material to feed to all 1500 rw radio stations...... the collusion was right under our nose

"Donald, just because Jared Kushner is smarter than you, that doesn't make him smart."
