(15,134 posts)It's also great to see Warnock now higher than Leoffler and Collins combined. It's not likely Warnock will reach 50%, so that means a run-off, but Warnock will be well positioned for that then.

(36 posts)We need Rev. Warnock and Ossoff over 50 percent to avoid the runoff.
That would be sweet!

(58,785 posts)It may be an outlier, but it puts Son Lieberman even more on the defensive as he continues to insist it was always impossible for Warnock to get a majority of the vote, even if he had dropped out.

(10,155 posts)I want him MJ and the Democrats to win the State House. God please.....
The South shall rise again (but in a good way, this time)!!
I literally waited my whole life for the South to turn blue. I had high hopes in 2008 when Obama won NC, but then we had the Tea Party and the 2010 disaster. The Republicans took over the NC legislature for the first time in 100 years and proceeded to destroy or defund many public institutions that sadly, I had taken for granted.
Here is a small example: I work at a community college in NC. We are state employees, paid by the state. From 2002 to 2008, when we had a Democratic governor and a Democratic legislature, my salary increased a total of 35% during that 6 year period.
Over the next 6 years, from 2008 - 2014, disaster struck. First, we had the recession, then the Republican takeover of the state legislature, then the election of McCrory as governor. Over that 6 year period, my salary increased a total of 4%. I know which party is better for me and for most of the people I know.
Come on Georgia, Florida, Texas and NC!! Let's all be blue again.....

(8,017 posts)and he did fine under democratic administrations, and then the Koch brothers and their tea party insanity took over ALL of our state agencies; schools, employment, EMS, all kinds of mess! Our taxes went way up, and fees for everything else went sky high.

(58,785 posts)are behind Reverend Warnock at this point!
If no candidate gets a majority in the senate special election, of course, the top two will face off in January. In that race, Warnock should gain more votes from those who are currently favoring the two would-be spoiler candidates than otherwise.
Hate to have to wait for that. But love the thought of Collins on his way out (please, please please!) The Republicans really, really don't like him these days.
