(24,728 posts)For me...I need to wait till it is lock solid.
I will admit, I feel differently than in '16. Not that I have or had any foreknowledge. All I can say is I remember that huge gorgeous concert for HRC the night before the election - remember? Out in front of some gov't building in DC, IIRC. I just remember feeling / thinking like, crap; it will be holy hell if this thing doesn't turn out as expected. And fucking Comey.
This time I have a bit of a lilt in my step. I feel like a transition is in the air. As I say...I dare to hope, but I don't want to expect.
No matter what - these 3 things are keeping me going: 1) the 2018 Blue Wave - in an off-year, even; 2) the early vote chart of 18-29 year olds that show exponential increases; and 3) EVEN IF THE MOTHERFUCKERS WIN, none of this power, this force, this progressive energy is going away, amirite? We just dig in, dig deep, and keep fighting.
