Hopefully, at that hour, the militia-types will still be sleeping, or stuffing their faces with biscuits and gravy. Best of luck.

I may drive past my precinct, just to see if there's a line or any interesting characters, but I've already voted so I'll miss that fun.

10. I was either first or second in line for the 2016 and 2018 mid-term elections at 6:45 am.

For our primary earlier this year, there was only one person ahead of me.

I hope the same is true this year.

Way back, before I retired. I wanted to vote fast, to get to work. I think this year will be a bit more active at the polling place.

Do it now! Covid is going to create poll worker shortages on election day, which will mean long lines and people standing in the cold dark night waiting to cast their vote.

I have filled out a ballot in case I get sick or something between now and then, and my daughter will deposit it.

We have never been able to do that, but thanks to Governor Pritzger I have the day off! My 18 y/o will be with us!
