I'm guessing either Dan Coats or Jon Huntsman?

(53,214 posts)sounded older, someone with a lot of relevant experience. Also a highly educated intellectual. The writer is extremely conservative in the traditional sense and puts great merit on democratic principles and values. He/she is no friend to Democratic party's policies, but is seriously opposed to Donald Trump as president.
Honestly, I thought Anonymous was a man, something about the way he/she wrote. I could picture such a person working for George H. W. Bush's White House.

Miles Taylor, a Former Homeland Security Official, Reveals He Was Anonymous
WASHINGTON Miles Taylor, the former chief of staff at the Department of Homeland Security, was the anonymous author of The New York Times Op-Ed article in 2018 whose description of President Trump as impetuous, adversarial, petty and ineffective roiled Washington and set off a hunt for his identity, Mr. Taylor confirmed Wednesday.
Mr. Taylor was also the anonymous author of A Warning, a book he wrote the following year that described the president as an undisciplined and amoral leader whose abuse of power threatened the foundations of American democracy. He acknowledged that he was the author of both the book and the opinion article in an interview and in a three-page statement he intended to post online.
Mr. Taylor resigned from the Department of Homeland Security in June 2019, and went public with his criticism of Mr. Trump this past summer. He released a video just before the start of the Republican National Convention declaring that the president was unfit for office and endorsed Joseph R. Biden Jr., the Democratic presidential nominee.

(196,494 posts)Chao indeed appears to be the mysterious anonymous author who wrote the scathing New York Times op-ed about Trump two years ago. A year later, Anonymous, a senior Trump administration official, penned the New York Times best-seller A Warning, which screams: dont reelect Trump!
My investigation also shows that Chao is the book author.
Who do I think helped her do this? Mitch McConnells speechwriter Andrew Quinn.
I suspected this in February, when LEO Weekly published my comparison of hundreds of pages of McConnells speeches to the book. There were multiple echoes of similar language and phrases lifted from speeches that appeared in the book. The high-minded power couple laughed off my evidence, which only encouraged me to hunt for more, and there was plenty to be found.

(1,585 posts)Its a person who should have come out months, if not years ago to denounce trump publicly. A person who wrote a book and let thousands die needlessly and is now doing too little too late, knowing trump is going to be defeated anyway.
