Miles TaylorTrump sees personal criticism as subversive.
I take a different view. As Theodore Roosevelt wrote, To announce that there must be no criticism of the President, or that we are to stand by the President, right or wrong, is not only unpatriotic and servile, but is morally treasonable to the American public. Nothing but the truth should be spoken about him or anyone else. But it is even more important to tell the truth, pleasant or unpleasant, about him than about anyone else.
We do not owe the President our silence. We owe him and the American people the truth.

Somehow his words were more impactful under the pen name Anonymous.

(45,082 posts)I think he didn't come out earlier because of Trump and his followers. He hid his identity when he wrote the book and stayed anonymous until 7 days before the election

(1,823 posts)In both real media and social media to play the speculation game when his identity was a mystery- and he probably sold way more copies that way. It may not have even been his motivation, but I think thats how it played out.

(45,082 posts)That ass was a republican all the way, supporting Trump's immigration policies, Muslim ban, deregulation and more "bright spot's", I believe he called them, in Trumps policies . Fuck him. He's a coward.

(9,952 posts)like a single one. Put up Flake video today so Republican FB family see the Republicans turn on their own. I was only pointing out the man hasn't been quiet.

Democrats too busy attacking Miles Taylor rather than going back through his book to ask him details about the events he saw and revealed months ago are out of their *fucking* minds.
You want purity? Attack Miles. You want victory? ASK HIM FOR SPECIFICS ABOUT WHAT HE WROTE.

(45,082 posts)he hasn't bothered. He knew he was coming out, he could have had those specifics cued up and ready to go. Kurt is out of his *fucking* mind for giving any Republican hack trying to have it both ways, the benefit of the doubt.

Autumn
(45,082 posts)a question he could have already discussed that does not make me out of my *fucking* mind. Kurt might want to keep in mind all the voters who have already voted before he tosses out the "You want purity? Attack Miles. You want victory? ASK HIM FOR SPECIFICS ABOUT WHAT HE WROTE." crap.
Exactly.

(45,082 posts)Republicans. with the white heat of a 1000 suns. And just because some cowardly Republican doesn't like Trump, who isn't a Republican, that doesn't in any way incline me to suddenly find a drop of respect for them. You go on ahead and feel free to celebrate him. I'll pass, I have my standards. FFS this asshole liked Trump's deregulation, one of the "bright spots" he liked.
