There is no such entity as the "Democrat Party", at least outside of the fever-swamp/Limbaugh/hive-mind of the right wing.

I have never voted a straight "democrat" ticket either...though I do frequently select all Democratic Party candidates...

I'm really hoping that idiotic meme dies with its progenitor when Limbaugh kicks off in the next few weeks or months.

ETA: Arg! the link is wonky, can’t figure out why. Here’s the first paragraph:

“Democrat Party is an epithet for the Democratic Party of the United States, used in a disparaging fashion by the party's opponents. While the term has been used in a non-hostile way, it has grown in its negative use since the 1940s, in particular by members of the Republican Party—in party platforms, partisan speeches, and press releases—as well as by conservative commentators.[1]”

Repugs have a long history of calling the Democratic Party the Democrat Party. Dems, in general, consider it disrespectful.

Words matter.

It started out on 8Chan. A place where child porn was readily available. They used "cheese pizza" as a euphemism for child porn.

Remember how they interpreted the emails from one of Hillary's close aides in a pilfered email where where they ordered pizza? Yep, that's where the whole child pedophile thing got started.

Soros-financed, deep-dish, pedophilic, cannibalistic, bloodsucking, baby-eating, socialist zombies. Yeah, that's the ticket.

Why, I had to shoo a couple of them out from under my bed just this morning. The al-Qaeda and MS-13 folks already living there were complaining that they were hogging the dustbunnies.
