(8,252 posts)believe that these deadlines are up to each state (or the state legislature in one Justice's opinion).
-Wisconsin can decide not to have an extension because it's up to the state
-NC can have a deadline extension because it's up to the state
That's what kinda vibe I'm getting from these cases regarding ballot counting deadlines.

(7,510 posts)Many states have long had quite extended deadlines for counting ballots received from service members serving overseas. So the precedent for counting ballots received several days after Election Day is well established.
