6. Where I lived before, a Cat 2 hurricane

killed two people, both from falling branches after the storm passed, not tornadoes, or flooding, etc.

7. Then there's the one-two punch:

The summer/fall windstorm comes through and weakens the branches.
A few months later, snow and/or ice coats them and the weight sends them crashing down.

8. Wow...I absolutely hate ice storms.

It can really take a city out. Power outages, tree limbs blocking streets which are many times as slippery as glass.
