And the voices of reason who were going to be able to reign Trump in? Come to find out that they were just as despicable as him, something I always knew...

The Trumps only value power, not party. If Trump thought that Democrats would buy his schtick, he would have tried to get elected as a Democrat.

...or even to the left of Hillary on a whole host of issues.

Trump was, above all, not a ideologue in the typical conservative sense they told us ... so he very well could govern from the liberal point of view on gay rights, criminal justice, foreign policy ... even healthcare!

Liberal NYCity. That he wanted healthcare and gun control. Then again i'm dyslexic and sometimes leave out stuff from a big picture take.
