question everything

I am looking (desperately) for a silver lining

Both Gorsuch and Kavanaugh surprised us by joining our side. On different decisions, don't remember which.

This led us to conclude that Thomas and Alitos are the real rabid ones.

So... I am hoping that even if Barrett will join these two, that we may still be able to eke, on occasions, 5-4 ruling.

Maybe..

Everything else is a crap shoot.

And Rehnquist was the absolute worst since Taney. Judges can be unpredictable, so we'll have to wait and see. Once in awhile Constitutional originalism will work in our favor.

of the First Amendment. He was bad, but not in the same league of bad as Thomas and Alito, and definitely not Rehnquist.

Well, a I think a silver lining might be the fact that John Roberts did say the Supreme Court will not re-write election law. So.... I guess you can take that with a grain of salt, but with 5 days left, we can hope......GO JOE

He's clearly not overly eager to get rid of it.

If we expand the court, we might end up winning 6-5 decisions if we get Roberts.

It’s a silver lining you must ACT upon, not waiting passively for something good to happen.

Put your legislators on speed dial.

Let's hope that they, some of them, do not want it to be: they filled the expectations.
