Do we know Trump will appear to be ahead on the night of 11/3?

Kavanaugh et al. seem to be assuming they can save Trump's ass if they stop voting on 11/3. Do we know for sure Trump will appear to be ahead then? We do expect early votes to break for Biden, but are we sure the difference between early and on-election-day votes will be enough to make it look as if Trump's winning?

Am I missing something?

While still despicable, what kav and thomas whistled was they might not allow ballots received after 11/3 to be counted, which is very different than what trump is calling for.

Trump is calling for stopping counting of votes on 11/3. Even if they were filed and received before then or even on election day.

That would be a much, much, larger number.

It's still a danger and every vote cast by election day should count, but you are mixing disaster scenarios.

I think they're still stuck on the idea that early or mail-in votes are only counted after election day. That's often not the case. But, because they're so accustomed to life in a made-up reality, their brains hold onto these self-kidding "facts" well beyond their being disproved to allow them hope that Trump will win.

8. recounts are what people tend to see taking weeks to resolve...

Those votes are usually razor close and hand recounts with objections really slow things down.

It may slow down some states where they can't open ballots until polls close, but it won't be weeks. A day or two at most to tabulate them.

FL counts votes as they arrive. They don't wait till polls close. We should know very quickly with them.

I'm not hopeful for florida for a lot of reasons, but they do count mail in ballots efficiently, mostly because it has been very favorable to the gop in the past.

Some states don't allow early ballots to be counted until polls close. Others count them as they go but don't tabulate them until polls open.

So FL will report them early. Other states, not so early. Sorry about the lack of naming the states, I just can't recall which wait until polls close.

If Biden takes FL, it's over for Trump. Almost no road to 270 without FL.

Texas is counting early ballots now and should have a call by 11:00 PM central time. If TX also goes Biden there is absolutely no way Trump can get 270. None.
