Doesn’t sound so crazy now, does it? Once Americans have it, they may not be willing to give it up. That’s what happened with the ACA.

I don’t think we know for sure if this was part of the plan but the $600 supplement was $15/hour.
I’ve spoken with several hair cutters and retail workers who said they’ve never been more comfortable in their working lives. Credit cards paid off. Money set aside. Etc.

But the message should have linked social policy to economic policy. We could have done it very cost effectively 6 months ago. And be in full recovery mode, starting in July, past.

Wall Street exists to make money for consumer based corporations serving consumers. Say you have a $100MM lottery and a single winner. Is this a better distribution or a lottery where a 1000 people make a $100,000? What we need is an economy focused on the keeping consumer economy operative.

That is correct and I’m fully supportive of the Freedom Dividend that Andrew Yang proposed in his campaign. Everyone does better.

I think we’ve really already missed the window but ....

If we could shut down for just one month (2 would be better) we could kill this or at least save the hospitals and staff from getting worn out. There are always people who will have to work but if we could get a certain lump of money for people to prepare and then shutdown everything we can it could happen. We do have to remember that there are people who don’t have the regular documentation to get funds to - they are going to need money too. There are some lose ends but we could do it. It’s our last chance or this will be perpetual in some way.

Is the future going to be the collective reality the Trump voter believes in or the reality in which we live.

This election will decide. If we win, we go all in - make the changes we know will make America better again. If we lose, we fight another election cycle.
