Here's how Donald Trump could flee the country if he loses the election

Here’s how Donald Trump could flee the country if he loses the election — and continue sowing political chaos

Is President Donald Trump a flight risk if he loses the election? According to the president himself: “Maybe.”

Trump pondered the possibility of leaving the U.S. after an election loss during a campaign rally in Georgia, and a retired Army general examined that unprecedented situation from a military intelligence standpoint in a new column for Politico.

“Setting aside for the moment his conduct as president, Trump faces a financial and legal reckoning of immense proportions as soon as he leaves office,” wrote retired Brig. Gen. Peter Zwack. “If he loses, he will no longer have protection from an avalanche of charges and lawsuits against him, his family and the Trump Organization. His years of alleged tax evasion will be officially scrutinized—and far more publicly than before he held office. He will no longer be able to claim (falsely) that his taxes are still ‘under audit’ and unavailable. Trump properties and investments could be frozen, seized or plummet in value. The true nature of his extraordinary personal financial debt — recently reported as $421 million — will be exposed, and his likely foreign creditors revealed.”

Trump’s personality and longstanding habits suggest that he would be unwilling to face a serious challenge to his self image and freedom from accountability, Zwack argued, and that makes him a candidate to join other recent world leaders who’ve fled legal problems after losing power.

his and his family’s passports. Just like they did to Paul Robeson ( google him if you don’t know the name. You won’t be sorry) who didn’t have any state secreets.

It would also make it easier to freeze his bank accounts both domestic and foreign and his properties. Not all of them but enough to put a world of hurt on the family.

Look at it this way, where is our Tyrant in waiting going to go where he can still feed his pathology like he has been able to do here?

He isn't going to jail. He might get fined... a lot.

He isn't going anywhere, he will go on the speaking circuit.

I have doubts he will give up the rallies.

Back on tv...radio show...God forbid, he takes Rush's spot?

Try to start his own media company?

... but we stand resolute! We believe in Rule of Law with hope and resolve, despite his efforts.

Donald Trump needs to face the consequences of his illegal behavior for the majority of his life. NOT for losing an election, but for losing his way in life. He's a dangerous threat to all Americans.

obsession and craving for attention, being such a narcissist. First of all, I speculate that he's going to milk the secret service and other presidential things that he's entitled to, for as much as he can. Pathetically so.

Second of all, he's going to lash out at people, including his supporters.

His properties 'plummet in value'? I thought that they (and the trump brand) have already taken a massive dive'. If anything, the 'trump' brand has now been changed into something that's considered 'trashy' and in truth, actually worthless (even though it may look expensive, it only looks that way so trump can sell the cheap knockoffs made in China (of course) for megabucks).

His long running problems w/ taxes, the post author is right. Lawsuits of those who claimed being attacked and/or raped will re-upped and allowed to continue (they should have never been frozen simply because he's president). So he'll be in civil and criminal courts for a long long time (or his lawyers will be)...this will suck up money like you wouldn't believe. This will be sweet (not for the victims of these unfortunate attacks of course) but I'll for one, enjoy the bleeding out of his assets literally to save his own a&&. I hope he suffers, not for my sake but for those long suffering victims of his and his family of thugs.

Personally, with the way he's acting, I think his debt is far more than 421 million or 1 billion dollars. He, alone, declared one of the largest individual losses ever on a tax return. What other surprises will there be? The tax losses need to be used for something if they are worth anything, thus he'll have income declared to equal the losses at a minimum (and probably more losses so he can 'bank' on them for future use), but the key is here, is that he's got loads of undeclared income, easy enough to figure out, simply look at all of his assets worldwide, and in the US (most part), and do an evaluation, just as auditors and tax accountants do today, in order to track actual income and / or expenses, to see if any discrepancies are there.

Because America is what it is, and Trump is technically "rich," whatever non-federal charges he can't be pardoned for will inconvenience him for a while, but they will eventually go away. After - maybe even before - he will start fundraising to run for president in 2024. How seriously he wants the job again will be anyone's guess, but even if he loses the primaries, he'll keep the money, which will always have been the primary reason for running again.

...on our dime. He loads up his whole godsdamned family, & tells the pilot to head for Moscow. He’s still POTUS, so he can do this. I don’t think anybody can stop him.

And once he gets to Moscow he cashes in his chips with his buddy Putin and announces his change of residence. I think Putin would be only to happy to have a US President live in exile in Moscow — it would be such a thumb in the eye of Uncle Sam.

As for the pilot of AF1, he hangs around for a couple of days wondering wtf, but on Inauguration Day he just gasses up the bird and flies back to the US carrying the Secret Service entourage. Hopefully without Russians having “serviced” it.
