(CNN)NFL great Brett Favre has endorsed President Donald Trump for reelection. He's one of the most prominent figures in sports to publicly pledge support for the President.
In a tweet, the former Green Bay Packers quarterback praised Trump's stances on freedom of speech, the Second Amendment, and police.
"My Vote is for what makes this country great, freedom of speech & religion, 2nd Amnd, hard working tax paying citizens, police & military," he wrote. "In this election, we have freedom of choice, which all should respect. For me & these principles, my Vote is for @RealDonaldTrump."
The endorsement comes a little more than a week since Favre asked Trump during a town hall how professional sports leagues should promote an anti-racism position without alienating fans.

Wasn't he the one who texted pictures of his junk to women? Perves of a feather.

(11,869 posts)Love his former Football Persona. But his upbringing in Conservative Louisiana and likely CTE leave his pronouncement of who to support of little value.

Imagine how dumb and shallow you would have to be to be undecided up until now only to be convinced by Favre's endorsement.

(11,094 posts)Brett Favre Sexual Harassment Suit the 'Tip of the Iceberg'?
Lawyer for massage therapists filing suit calls quarterback "arrogant."
By ANDREA CANNING, JESSICA HOPPER and KATIE MORISON
Jan. 4. 2010, 2011 -- The attorney for two female massage therapists who have leveled sexual harassment charges against Minnesota Vikings quarterback Brett Favre called the lawsuit "the tip of the iceberg."
"It's clear that there's no change happening at the Jets. It's not right and it happens to be illegal," Elizabeth Eilender, the attorney for former New York Jets' massage therapists Christine Scavo and Shannon O'Toole, told "Good Morning America." In the wake of a sex scandal that tarnished Favre's storied 20-year NFL career and cost him a a $50,000 fine, Scavo and O'Toole filed suit in the Supreme Court of the State of New York Monday against Favre, the New York Jets and Lisa Ripi, a woman who hires massage therapists for the team.
In the suit, Scavo alleges that Favre sent text messages to another unidentified massage therapist, asking Scavo and the unidentified woman to "get together" with Favre. Scavo said that in 2008 while Favre was with the New York Jets, he treated her like a "hanging slab of meat." In the suit she claims he wanted a three-way with her and another therapist. Favre allegedly texted the unidentified therapist, writing, "Brett here, you and Crissy want to get together, I'm all alone," according to the lawsuit. Favre allegedly sent another text message reading, "Kinda lonely tonight, I guess I have bad intentions."

(18,348 posts)In three different ways.
1. His daughter plays volleyball for Southern Miss, welfare money was used to build them a new arena. They will have a few classes in it for low income people to justify the $5M? contribution. He was heavily involved in the "fund" raising.
2. He got paid out of welfare funds for speeches he never made. He did give the money back after being called out for it (what a guy).
3. Money from the program went to his friends in another organization who subsequently used it to invest in a company making a questionable concussion treatment method.

(11,767 posts)Freedom of Speech? - Trump wants to change libel laws which would infringe on freedom of speech. He has constantly whined about and tried to undermine the Press. He want's people jailed for burning the flag (freedom of expression, speech, and grievance), and more
Hard working taxpayers, Trump took 2 trillion in taxes and shifted the burden from the wealthy to the rest of us. Also, Trump? Tax payer? That cheat fudged his taxes so much that he is constantly under audit and he only paid $750 in taxes because he is a cheat.
Police and Military? You mean the military he called "losers and suckers". The police, which he only wants to use to bash protesters?
I know that expecting an intelligent answer from a conservative is asking a lot, but at least be honest about why you are really supporting Trump.
