(45,433 posts)where Biden is getting 90% of the vote. It's probably a city logistics problem more than voter suppression. Either way, President Biden will appoint a postmaster general who will fix it.

(9,478 posts)is this outgoing mail from the area, or incoming mail (presuming the election commission's office that receives the ballots is in the area of the post office). If its the latter, it means that maied-in ballots to Miami-Dade from all over is being held up.

(1,351 posts)Reading through the Florida mail-in voting laws, voters can track their ballots and, if not received, can go vote in person and request a new ballot at the polling station. The polling station checks to make sure ballot has not been received. If not, the will give the voter a new ballot.
How to Vote in Person if Ballot Requested
A voter who has requested a ballot may change his or her mind and vote in person. The voter should bring the ballot (marked or unmarked) to the polls to turn the ballot in and vote a regular ballot. If the voter does not bring the ballot to the polls for whatever reason, the Supervisor of Elections' office will need to confirm that the ballot has not already been returned and received. If the ballot has not been received, the voter will be allowed to vote a regular ballot. If the ballot has been received, the ballot is deemed cast and the voter to have voted. If the voter believes the office is incorrect for whatever reason, the voter is allowed to vote a provisional ballot. The matter will then be presented to the canvassing board for determination. If it cannot be determined if the ballot has been received, the voter will be allowed to vote a provisional ballot. See section 101.69, Fla. Stat.
How to Track Your Vote-by-Mail Ballot Request and Returned Ballot
Any voter who has requested a vote-by-mail ballot can track online the status of his or her ballot through the county Supervisor of Elections' website.

(1,351 posts)I may be misinterpreting this, but the way I read it is that if you don't have your original ballot they can check to see if your ballot has already been received (the same way you can track your own ballot), and if it hasn't been received they can give you a new ballot right then and there:
How to Vote in Person if Ballot Requested
A voter who has requested a ballot may change his or her mind and vote in person. The voter should bring the ballot (marked or unmarked) to the polls to turn the ballot in and vote a regular ballot. If the voter does not bring the ballot to the polls for whatever reason, the Supervisor of Elections' office will need to confirm that the ballot has not already been returned and received. (490 posts)if this is more than an isolated incident. My fear and suspicion is that it will be occurring up and down the country, particularly in Democratic areas. All Post Offices should be independently inspected every day.

(4,438 posts)in different counties. How do you think DeSantis and Scott got where they are? Basically, the same way Bush got in. Family and "friends" in high places made it happen. Same for Dumpy boy. I pray the number of people voting early and on paper ballots helps us to have a more fair election this time. Thankfully, due to the shananigans already pulled with USPS, many more people are paying attention and Biden/Harris have many, many lawyers, poll watchers, computer people, etc. watching what's going on.

(14,565 posts)Sheer numbers game. Remove machines to slow delivery in major urban areas, and is is guaranteed to siphon off Democratic numbers on the edges.
I have no idea how the USPS topic was dropped so casually in September. Drop boxes mean nothing. Warnings mean nothing. The vast majority were going to mail the ballots, and DeJoy made sure some of them got stuck.

Our online Voter Information tool allows you to read your customized sample ballot, request a mail ballot, check the status of your mail ballot, and learn when your next election will be and where you must go to vote.
You can also make changes to your voter information, check your voter activity over the last year, and more.
Anyone who has voted in Miami-Dade County, please check the status of your ballot to ensure it has been received and counted.
Thank you!

(1,737 posts)However, I'm pretty sure team Biden is on it. I knew something fishy was going on in Miami-Dade. Broward and Miami-Dade vote in a similar fashion and are Democratic strongholds despite the Cuban American vote in Miami. This year it's very strange that with all the enthusiasm we've seen in South Florida, Miami-Dade's Democratic numbers don't reflect that. We are doing worst than in 2016. Team Biden wake up, don't wait until election night. Something strange is happening in Miami! This is just one proof. Please get your people on the ground here to check things out.
