(68,341 posts)Harrison accused Graham of lying about him wanting to defund the police. Harrison said it's like defunding your own family since he has two family members who are police officers. Harrison then said it was Graham who was defunding the police by not voting for the Heroes Act that would fund police and first responders in South Carolina.

(12,182 posts)He didn't try to shout JH down and just keep yammering, whether it was his turn or not. For a toady like him, that can't have been easy.
Either that, or someone clearly and distinctly just gave him such a verbal ass-kicking that he was having the vapours.

(1,421 posts)...Harrison has run a masterful campaign against an entrenched incumbent, and has pushed him to the brink. There are folks who've had easier challenges in this cycle who haven't come close to his deft and creative teardown of a past-their-sell-by-date politician. I've put my money where my mouth is on this race, and I'm really believing he can pull this off. There are tons of moderate Republicans in SC who are fed up to the gills with Lindsey Graham who, like that smug jackass David Perdue, is nowhere to be found in their state until campaign season. The national party is indebted to Harrison, win or lose.
