The desperate sounding doom and gloom messages seeking more donations don't inspire me

I’ve donated pretty often this year. More than ever before but I decided I was done last week. The emails in particular lately have taken on serious scare tactics. I already decided I was done but the more recent ones certainly wouldn’t inspire me even if I was still willing. Do those tactics work on anyone?

I finally hit unsubscribe on all that. It was over the top with the frequency and desperation.

4. I don't react positively to those either.

It's so much more likely to engage me if it is like "we're fighting really hard for you... but this is really tough... we need your help to win... if you can give anything it would make a big difference... help us help you and everyone else... yadda yadda"

5. Pretty standard fundraising technique.

I find it annoying but it must work because everybody does it.

7. It is a little late to be asking for money.

It appears to be nothing but a money grab.

8. Nope. They piss me off and make me feel manipulated.

And insulted. I have deleted all of them. I have already made a lot of contributions but I am done.

It's getting out of control and it's turning people off. They need to know when to back down. The more they text and email the more unimpressed I get. I will vote for them, but I am not giving any more money.

They beg me for more money the day after I make a contribution, and I have made a lot of contributions. But at this point, it is just getting obnoxious. I'm done. And their aggressive approach is not doing them any favors.

9. No. I think they overdid it this time, but I understand why.

I don't want to wake up on November 4th wishing I had done more.

10. I immediately unsubscribe from any and all emails like that I get. I can and do make up my own

mind, do my own research on who to give to. And then I pick one or two people per election cycle and give a few hundred to each and that's it. This election cycle I only gave to one person, Theresa Greenfield, $2,000, running against Joni Ernst for U.S. Senate from Iowa. Cuts down on the bookkeeping and effort a lot.

11. Well, since I'm in Iowa, and since that stinking poll came out today,

I responded to a letter from Joe tonight with a donation....

Otherwise, I usually just ignore them.

12. I think I received about 150 e-mails yesteraday I deleted e-mails at least 4 times.

A few less today. I also started getting e-mails from Trump they are all the same more money 500% match 800% match.
Also about 10 to 15 texts during the day.
