What is everyone going to do during the early part of Tuesday evening?

It will be too late to do anything productive to help the Biden campaign, or any of the current candidates, but too early to know how things are shaping up.

My first instinct is to be here, but I'm guessing that there's going to be a ton of baseless rumors flying around Twitter that will send us all into an occasional panic, which won't be helped by television coverage that wants this to be as dramatic as possible.

This would have been the perfect time for a two hour popcorn flick at a movie theater with bad phone coverage.

The hosts are doctors, so we trust precautions will be followed to the letter. After a glass of wine..or two..I’ll come home and probably sleep through the whole thing.

...if I can even sleep..then stay up and watch the Big Board. Four years ago, I fell asleep around 1-2:00 feeling good about the results. I woke up to a nightmare. I’m expecting different results this time. I’ll either get drunk or celebrate.

I fell asleep just as things were starting to turn towards Trump, but before it got really bad, and then woke up to an absolute nightmare. I'll never forget that moment.

. . .polls in my state open at 6 am through 9 pm

I won't be finished with it until after 10 pm, when we close up, call in November 3 results to our Board of Elections, and lock up shop.

As soon as I'm done, I'm going home and going straight to bed. Will be too damn tired to watch TV or social media or get on the computer.

As such, I will be essentially incommunicado from DU from 9 pm Monday night to sometime Wednesday morning.

Until 6:30 east coast time. So I’ll have time to prep dinner here on the west coast and pop it in the oven before I go watch the early returns with my bottle of Prosecco.

Dh gets to entertain the dog and bring me dinner.

I have the 4th off.

it's not like 2016 when Kentucky votes came in around 8:00 PM and it was obvious things weren't going well for Clinton. She wasn't expected to win Kentucky, but she was supposed to do better than the votes reflected. I was watching MSNBC and the pundits mood turned gloomy quickly.

I think we'll be good this time, but until the votes are counted we just won't know for sure.
