Tired of people framing "Trump will declare victory prematurely" as a media story. Most likely—in part because the White House has telegraphed it so much in advance—the media will be fairly well-prepared. Instead, it's a story about Trump seeking to undermine faith in democracy.

12. If Trump knows what's good for him

he might want to play along and not cause a bunch of trouble. There are a lot of federal prosecutors waiting. Steve Scarramuchi said this a few days ago. He might start acting like a model citizen to get some leniency.

As noted elsewhere, the reaction to the initial claim was pretty swift both in the media and elsewhere.

... no matter WHO it is that's telling the lies. You can't just "ignore" the absurd things because they are absurd. If the aren't called out forcefully, then it becomes the accepted truth.

The MSM needs to bond together to refute whatever Trump and his cult proclaim, it is in their best interests for survival.

There can be no both sides bull shit on election night, there needs to be overwhelming push back from the media.

Ignoring it would be tragic.

10. Also Giuliani/Putin's laptop nonsense. The only laptop of interest now is Giulliani's.

6. Also, I dont see how this would make any sense at all.

Based on any logical probable scenario he will be never get close to 270 EV. If he claims he won, it wont make any sense at all. He would have to say the poll counts are completely wrong and he is actually winning. I dont think even Fox news would buy that.

I think its nonsense and nothing to fret about.

11. Scaramucci is right. When it's clear that he lost, Trump will fold like a cheap suit.

He's essentially lazy and won't work to overcome the popular vote AND the EC. Historically, he normally settles disputes and abandons any effort to win when faced with a certain loss. There will be a mountain of bluster before he finally cries that he was the victim and claim that BIDEN'S VICTORY was somehow fixed. But he'd concede first that Biden won, then claim victimhood.

I'm really eager to see what happens tomorrow. I wonder if Trump's Brownshirt Brigade and their blocking of traffic and harassing their opponents will backfire enough to enrage Florida's black voters and push Florida in the Democratic column early on Tuesday evening. That would be the easy way to a good night's sleep.

13. Watch for cynical Republicans eyeing the WH to drop him like a hot potato

if it becomes clear that it’s over. They know that plenty will salute their “bravery” in telling him to concede right through 2024.

I still haven’t ruled out a beaten Trump doing his insecure, deferential pals act with Biden, thinking that if he lavishes praise on him, Joe will be inclined to make the legal issues he'll face as a private citizen go away. I still remember him sitting like a toddler with Obama.
