Watched the Borat movie last night.

Trumpers are assholes and dumb as shit.
Too many people ignore open racism right in front of them.
The GOP uses the Kahkistan Daughters Owner Manual as a reference.
Mike Pence is an evil duplicitous fuckhead.

And surprisingly, the movie had some sweet moments.

1. I appreciate that Borat is a funny movie

But I don't enjoy watching people being made fun of, even when I know they deserve every bit of it. It still makes me uncomfortable, not entertained.

Interesting.....I wish I could see it but I don't have Amazon. I would think that at some point it'll be on Netflix so I'll watch it then.

dt brings out the worst in everyone! Those who have a mean nature to being with join together with others of their ilk and the hatred just magnifies....I think he may be the devil.....

5. The woman who babysits the daughter and tells her

about her rights and how she should be treated is sort of the hero of the film. It brings the necessary level of humanity and makes everything else seem even more absurd.

8. I choose not to watch for two reasons

The first is monetary in nature. He takes advantage of people in a way that is a detriment to the employment of other actors. The people he uses as pawns could be portrayed by actors but instead of paying an actor, and a writer, he takes advantage of people through deceit and trickery.

That those people are morally reprehensible does not change the fact that they should be paid according to prevailing acting wages for participation in the movie.

The second reason is the moral question of taking advantage of people too ignorant to know better by way of deceit. They are being set up. It just feels wrong. It's trickery to make fun of people.

If it was the other side, I think people would not be so quick to laugh.

9. Nobody got burned in this movie that didn't deserve it.

I was blessed to watch this movie's debut in the home of my rainbow warrior child.

A few local craft beers beforehand made it a little less cringe-worthy for me.

It's not my kind of humor but Sacha Baron Cohen and Maria Bakalova are brilliant.
