Good sign: Our absentee ballots made it from Florida to Colorado in 5 days

Mrs. Hokie and I are in Florida for the winter. For several reasons I was late requesting absentee ballots for us. Fremont county in Colorado mailed them out on the Saturday before last. We received them last Wednesday, voted them and rushed to the post office before they closed. I just got notice today they have been accepted. Thanks to our county for working on Saturday to get them out to us.

I hope this is a good sign that despite Trump's best efforts to kill it the folks at the USPS are getting the job done.

USPS deserves a new board; the old board and DeJoy deserve DeJail. lagomorph777 Nov 2020 #1

Back at you. Our summer place is outside of Cotopaxi. We have been through Canon City many times.

We've probably met at one time or another. My wife and I used to help run the county caucus from 2006 on until we moved.

We split time between the Springs and our place in the mountains from 2017 until this year. We bought in the Fort Myers area close to our son, DIL and new granddaughter (who moved there from Denver). We missed the registration deadline in Florida by just days. We wanted to get down here sooner but life happened.

I am loving both places. Yes, Fremont County is stupidly red as is our area in Florida but we have found Democratic neighbors in both places.
