On the 2nd possible day to vote (early voting is new in VA). I spent the first day practicing my signature (I don't have that repeatable-signature skill).

Central Coast, I voted two weeks ago at a secure drop off box at the library, the communities in Santa Cruz County have multiple drop off locations and I don't know many people who are waiting until election day but do know that some folks like the in-person experience, even with Covid.

but there's something *special* about putting on the red/white/blue and joining the excitement of voting on the actual Election Day that we VBMers miss. ED becomes almost anti-climactic.

ballot into a box since I registered to vote >40 years ago here and was unsure about my signature.

It was impressive. A table outside if one wanted to drop off. If going inside the large auditorium, temp check outside, poll worker for initial checkin behind plexiglass. Sanitizer everywhere.

They had a form for me to fill out to update my signature - yay!

Voting paper ballot, was quick, sanitized on the way out. No other voter inside just lots of poll workers

I'm in CA. Every state should do this at a minimum.

I like going to the poll and voting in person. Been that way since my folks took me with them to vote when I was a kid and got me hooked.
