The appeal in the Fifth Circuit of Judge Hanen’s decision has now been docketed. I expect the Court to act tonight. Maybe in the AM, but tonight more likely.

if they throw out ballots, the voters need to have a chance to cast a vote. It makes no sense otherwise.

If he had ruled against the county but drive through voting would be halted for Election Day.

And similar again at the USSC, should they take the case.

As John Roberts pointedly noted (as a shot across the bow of Trump, in my opinion), courts don't determine election rules, state legislatures do.

emergency appeal cannot be ruled without chief justice Robert, right? If so, I am somewhat confident he will uphold the ruling.

It’s one thing if trumpsters think ballots were fraudulent, but sitting in your car at a legal polling place — rather than standing in line in a pandemic— ain’t fraud.
