Election Day Riddle: What's the difference between the old East Germany and the Trump White House?

Answer: one built a wall around itself because it feared its own people would leave.

The other built a wall around itself because it feared its own people would enter.

Things like that tend to stick in one's memory. The "real existierender Sozialismus" wasn't much fun for most who lived there. I have to believe the atmosphere inside a walled-in White House today will not be much more merry than a well-appointed version of the Hitler Bunker in late April, 1945, unless they know something the rest of us do not. But if that were the case, then they wouldn't be walling themselves up in the first place, would they?

I get the distinct impression that now, as then, their Führer is losing it fast, everyone else in there knows it, except for him, and the rest of them are wondering what will become of them when the inevitable has come to pass.
