Barring a polling error that would be truly historic tonight will be a big Biden win

and that will bring a lot of joy. But I think we should offer a chance for those who know in their hearts that misogyny is what brought us to where we were the last four years to grieve. The fact is, Hillary would have been a good and decent President. She also would have likely been a one term President. I don't see, even with a massively better pandemic response, her winning with the pandemic going on. But for women tonight is going to be bitter sweet. Their votes will have gotten us over the top but they also lost so much in 2016. So thank you Democratic women. This night is very much for you. May your grief tonight be short and light and your celebration immense. You deserve it at long last.

It was good of you to call her out and highlight women’s votes.

I don’t agree with her being a one-term President. She would have activated the Obama pandemic response plan and not fired the White House pandemic response team. 200,000 Americans would still be alive.

is one of increasing recognition and importance within the executive branch. Hilary was there through it all. Far from being a one term president she would be riding a wave of popularity into a Regan sized landslide.

far lower .

The media would have been very tough on her .

Hopefully she would have been on her way to re-election but we at least would have gotten supreme court justices and the pandemic would be under better control with science getting more attention .

Every time she actually did a job she got very high approval, both in the Senate and as Secretary of State. I've recently thought of how painful it must be for her to constantly hear the pundits compare her to Biden in popularity, etc.... The SNL skit this weekend where they pointed out that Biden had a big advantage over her simply for being a man rang very true to me. So yes this is bittersweet. But don't forget the historical enormity of what is getting ready to happen, the multiple glass ceilings that will be shattered by Kamala Harris. Also Biden's campaign was mostly run by women in the senior positions. And when I worked as an advocate for domestic violence victims, Biden was revered by my colleagues for VAWA. But to your original point Hillary was fabulous and we would have been spared such trauma if she had been president. But she may have been getting re-elected today we don't know that.
