They usually like to wait until all of the polls in the continental US have closed, though.

A slight correction on my part and it's in regard to my last point about waiting until voting ends in the continental U.S....the Pacific Coast states (California, Oregon and Washington) close at 11 pm Eastern (which would be 10 pm James Carville time)....so that's more likely going to be the tipping point time.

Trump and his minions think that most states are like Pennsylvania in not counting mailed in or early votes until after Election Day in person votes. Somehow they are unaware that most states count all those as they come in, and typically those are the first results released after polls close. They are aware that the mailed in an early votes will skew very Democratic, so their presumption that the Republicans will have an early lead this evening is completely ignorant.

It really will be fun watching them suddenly suing to allow late arriving ballots be counted.
