My little election theory

As Trump ALWAYS does if things don’t go his way... he will lawyer up,
challenge anything and everything, no matter how minor, in such an exhaustive way (most often by suing in the past), that he THINKS there will be some kind of settlement in his favor. Often his adversary can’t afford to fight, so they give in.

If behind , I believe he thinks he can gain what he wants if he causes enough trouble, challenges voting procedures, votes themselves, and will take it all the way to the Supreme Court. And the GOP will help of course.

And taxpayers will pay.

Of course, I can’t see Dems giving in, but some judges might help Trump.

Gawd , I hope it is a blue landslide.

After the supreme asskicking they both get tonight, the GOP may want to minimize their self-inflicted damage and shut the Trump show down.

It seems as though his campaign is nearly broke. Lawyers might refuse to work for him, given his track record of stiffing everyone.

Right now, it is in the best interest of the GOP to lawyer up if it looks like Trump has the potential to win. If it doesn't (and I think he's not winning by enough to keep this from turning into an ass-kicking) the GOP is going to cut their losses and concentrate on down-ticket races where they can at least keep from losing the Senate. Trump has largely been lawyering up primarily at the expense of the RNC. That stops if he's down more than 60 EC points, and I don't think Trump has the funds to go deep with his own lawyers.

Given that, I don't see him putting up that much of a fight if he loses by enough because he can't. The fact that he was pulling ad buys from must-win states hints strongly at that, as does his lack of coordination on the ground this time around. If he hadn't had AF-1 available to do rallies, I doubt he would have even been able to afford to fly to them. This is not someone who is going to be able to fight an extended legal battle.

where he can wait until it is done and then 're-negotiate' it in the courts.

It shouldn't work that way.
