More from my friend in Minnesota.

I drove past three of our local voting places just now, stopping at two of them because I recognized some of the workers, neighbors of mine. Trump’s people are there wearing vests that say: “DEMOCRACY DEFENDERS”. They have to stand 100 ft away from the doors to the voting booths. Also at those locations, at least at two of the spots, are the DOJ people. When a voter approaches they have to sign in at a card table outside ( nice day here, in the low 60’s ), and the so-called DEMOCRACY DEFENDERS had to continually be warned to stand back and not approach either the voter or the card table where an election judge sat with the list of voters for that location. These Trump people were young guys. I hate this crap. The ultimate irony, and “1984” aspect of this, is that Trump and his campaign in the past year are doing more to deny the democratic vote than anyone ever has, except maybe in the south, and yet they are wearing vests proclaiming that they are DEMOCRACY DEFENDERS. Double speak, lies and manipulation of our democracy. I am filled with sadness at what I see. I just hope Biden wins. I am not sure any of us can take four more years of this.
