I can't believe some of the defeatist posts occurring here. Can we at least wait until the blue

wall states have reported before implying it is over

My personal feeling is we will get 290 electoral college votes. Anything above that will be a bonus

two hours all we heard was what a horrendous disappointment 2018 was going to be for Democrats, and there was no blue wave.

I'm not worrying yet, and I'm seeing people say we've lost states that aren't even half counted and where Biden is leading.

taking place whether by the postmaster nazi general or the various other ways a GOP state blocks voting.

That Obama could win there twice and all of a sudden our candidates cant win.

Ohio too...I am the most pessimistic person here and I have some hope...but I need drugs, Ativan or something

I was just posting imagine the what is it, 50 million adults who didnt bother to vote, who dont have nervous stomachs or shaking hands, who didnt think there was an important enough reason to vote. They dont know their literal freedom is on the line.

That is bad.

I don't have the same sinking feeling that I had in 2016 as I watched results role in. In 2016, Ohio went red out of the gate and Michigan, Wisconsin and Pennsylvania were pink tossups really late in the vote count, even after the big urban areas had almost completely reported.

I am not giving up on Florida yet. Palm Beach County and Broward County always report late. unless something changes, they are strong blue areas.

You can celebrate that we will likely eke out a bare win for the WH by slimly beating the worst man ever to run for the office. Or that we will go back to mcconnell led Senate with cornyn and collins still sitting.

I'm not defeatist. I am pragmatically commenting on the demise of the humanity of our country. Sure trump stole the office and disenfranchised thousands. But just look at that man and look at the republicans running things. How in a country of decent humanity could those dregs get even 5% of the vote. Maybe in 2016, stupid people were fooled. But we've had four years of nastiness, ineptitude, criminality, and cruelty. And still he gets close.

We haven't been defeated. But we haven't won. I just have a hard time celebrating that in some parts of the country there is a small majority of our populace who don't think it is good to cage children, kill innocent black people, or render millions without health coverage.

have been called, and all the votes have been counted, and that is what my OP was about, and what I was calling defeatist

As to your other points, when you have 40% of the populace who are racist, or not caring if a racist, sexist, and bigot are president, that is a problem

Also, in 2016 there was no ambiguity that trump wasn’t a racist, sexist, and bigot

I have no idea if we are going to win or lose, but every vote better be counted before I say the country can go to hell
