I have trashed so many threads tonight - doom and gloom - just people posting their worst feelings and taking me down with them.
For good news, I need confirmation and not another baseless pronouncements. Thanks. |

It should be more of a nail-biter later.

17. Way too early to tell.
Early voting was heavily Democratic. Those are the totals that are posted. Apparently the Cuyahoga County turnout was lower than 2016 - which does not bode well for carrying Ohio.

20. The outperformance is meaningless because of the shift in voting.
In the precincts I worked tonight, the early votes were nearly double the in-person votes. That is unheard of - and early votes run heavily Democratic. In person run heavily Republican.
To win, Biden would need to have outperformed Clinton by almost double to hold through the later-posted heavily Republican votes. The station I was listening to on the way home was not optimistic about Ohio based on the low turnout in Cleveland proper. The precincts I worked at had similar demographics - and only 54% turnout. (2/3 of it early voting,) |

21. And what if the shift isn't enough for Trump to make up?
Very, very possible! If we rack it up in Democratic areas, there is a lot to make up.

22. It's a time shift, not a quantity shift -
That makes this early lead an illusion.
Essentially we're counting all the Biden votes first and all the Trump votes last - and my point is that we're not racking it up in Democratic areas. Cleveland's turnout was apparently lower than 2016. I don't know 2016's turnout in the precincts I worked this year - but the turnout was a pitiful 54%. You don't rack it up with a turnout in the low 50s. |

Its painful to watch the Ohio numbers. Biden was up 8% not long ago. then 5%. 4%. Now only 2.7% up within the past hour.
