It only becomes in effect if enough states equaling 270 electoral votes enact it.

Not that I am personally against it. It's just that a lot of people will be. Constitution and all.

7. Never happen 2/3 Congress and 3/4 of the states would have to approve.

Smaller states aren't going to miss out on having politicians come woo them for votes.

10. Wouldn't it be a sweet if Biden wins the electoral vote even while losing the popular vote?

Right now, that's the way it's running. Of course, I'd prefer both, but we all know which one counts.

Maybe if that happens we could convince the Repubs it would be a good idea to get rid of the Electoral College

It's definitely ridiculous, but it favors the GOP and we don't have the votes to end it.

or this country breaks apart and there are new constitutions for new republics.

The way this country is right now, it's simply not possible.

And then there is the filibuster. Of course if we flip Blue to Red every 4 years and just keep undoing what just got done...WTF? I pity m kids and worry for their future.
