If trump wins it will be the 6th time that someone lost the popular vote and won the EC, and

3 of the 6 will be in the last 20 years. There is a fundamental flaw in the structure of our government. the constitution must be changed or the United States will fall apart like the Soviet Union or Yugoslavia.

He never really tried to get support from a majority of the people. In fact his strategy was to rile up a preferred minority against the majority of the country based on bigotry and sexism.

Previously, the electoral college was viewed as a silly and arbitrary was to break virtual ties. It was wrong, but not very wrong if the 2nd place candidate was very close.

It's very different when the popular vote loser wasn't even trying for that. That stinks of minority control, as in apartheid South Africa.
