Never by phone. Never in an exit poll. I have always been registered and had a telephone. I have been contacted by fundraisers so it isn't that I'm hard to find.

(131,252 posts)and most polls sample only about 1,000 people, so the probability that any particular person would be contacted by a pollster is quite small. I've never been called, either - but then, I don't answer my phone if I don't recognize the number.

(759 posts)It was a Republican poll, calling my husband's phone. I decided to take the call, and answered everything in this skewed poll, for Biden and Democrats. This poll had been calling my husband a lot, and he thought they were telemarketers, so he didn't answer. On this day, my husband was not home, so I took a chance it would be worthwhile to find out who it was.
Kick in to the DU tip jar?
This week we're running a special pop-up mini fund drive. From Monday through Friday we're going ad-free for all registered members, and we're asking you to kick in to the DU tip jar to support the site and keep us financially healthy.
As a bonus, making a contribution will allow you to leave kudos for another DU member, and at the end of the week we'll recognize the DUers who you think make this community great.
