We need to see this as a lesson about how minorities are always having to out perform

We have won. We have at least 2 new Senators. Trump will leave the WH. Biden will celebrate his victory.
Why are we not happy that we did not exceed expectations?
Why do we let the Repubs boast of how well they did? They lost!

I'll take this victory. I wish it would have been a huge win but whatever. As long as Biden is inaugurated on Jan 21st, I'm good.

Republicans don't need a clear, decisive victory to claim a mandate. A win is a win and that's the mandate. If Joe wins the EC, that's all the matters. We have to be better at messaging.

to the Senate in regard to "mandate", but without a doubt if I had to choose between the presidency and the senate, without hesitation I would choose the power of the Presidency

Not only does the President have Veto power, but the President can rejoin the Paris Accords without Congress, support NATO and work with our allies instead of treating them as "enemies", and a lot more.

Both Michigan and Wisconsin have turned our way just now, adding Arizona and Nevada, which I believe are ours, we have reached 270 without Pennsylvania, though I think that will come our way also, and it would be a bonus if Georgia went our way

If we ran the board in the Presidential race with the remaining states, that would be a clear mandate, but you are right, a victory alone is a mandate

You nailed it! Fuck.

I never want anything handed to me.

I work as hard and smart as many top performers in my field(s). But always a glass ceiling after all the planning and implementation of my career goals. Always.

Having a narrow win in the EC and a 2% win in national vote count seems like a victory.

At least, more so than having a narrow win in the EC and a 2% loss in national vote count.

detrimental to some of us. Life and death detrimental. It is a scary place to sit. I am thrilled we will be done with Trump. That leaves McConnell that we see will be a total ass with a smile on his face while he fucks us.
