In an elevator I asked a person to put on their mask. This person complied, but said "after today we won't have to worry about masks anymore."
I said tell it to the virus.
This person said it will only be a problem if Biden wins.
She is spouting the "Atlas Doctrine." Welcome to herd immunity and mass death.

(10,497 posts)A maskless young woman came in and when I pointed to the box of masks, she asked "Do I have to wear one?". After I replied that masks are mandatory in Des Moines, she put a mask on but under her nose. She voted and as she left, she dropped the mask in the waste bin near the door.
When I was on Next Door last night, reading a discussion on Beggar's Night traditions, and she popped up and said "she was glad she moved from communist California". One old guy asked her what she meant and she snarkly responded back and forth with him several times. When I found her facebook page it was all trump, gun-hugging, and a little jesus. Evidently she moved to Iowa from Santa Rosa to attend college here and claimed she turned all her Democratic family members to trump and that she wants to be in politics in 20 years. She's scary.

(Sorry, I dont use the term MAGAt). The Corona virus has no politics and doesnt care what QAnon says or if Donnie is still in the White House.
I fear that some people are going to learn hard lessons the same way their lateral ancestors learned about Yellow Fever, Cholera, and Smallpox. Unfortunately they can spread it to the rest of us.
And their ailing friends and loved ones can say: Oh, Magoo! Youve done it again!
