Jim Vandehi made a very apt point this morning, even if he loses, he comes out more powerful. These people who came out to vote ADORE the POS, and they bend at his will. Meanwhile, the most of the Rs who backed his every play for the last four years and stuck behind him rode that wave to reelection.

He won't go away even if we root him out of 1600 PA, he will start running for 2024 and will control the R party along with it, because the zombie base will be his.

If we can't win the senate, McConnell thrart Joe at every stop he can ...

You think Trump will stop doing rallies?

Shoot, he’ll do more, now that he doesn’t have to waste time actually even pretending to govern.

It’ll be golf-rally-hookers-adderall-repeat for the next 4 years, and running again in 2024.

He'd have to pay for the rallies himself, for the plane, the security, the planning team.

Yeah, I know, he's reknowned for not paying his bills, but I don't think he can get away with that to pay for jet fuel, airplanes and pilots. At least, not for more than a couple of trips.

He'll start up a super-PAC and load it with dark money. Use it to buy Republicans in prep for 2024 where either he will run again or be a king maker.

Democrats need to help build a 3rd party New Republican party fashioned around the conservative nature of the Eisenhower administration that still believes in democracy and the republic.

Americans have a distate for locking up Presidents. Should he be locked up, yes. Will he, no. He will be hit with fines, financial penalties, and interest. One reason he needs a money making scheme, and a black money super PAC is perfect for him.

It is hard to believe that more than 40 percent of the country is aligned with the values of the Liar in Chief. I just can't figure it out. What is wrong with those people who can watch children being separated from parents, who can destroy our planet with their policies on pillaging the environment for so called "economic" greed? I worry about the world our grandchildren are inheriting.

almost half the nation is racist and stupid and willing to re-elect a racist, stupid moron with the deaths of 235,000 Americans on his hands.

Calling it disappointing doesn't come close to describing how I feel about this now. We are two nations but we can't split apart as the red and blue states are not contiguous. What a mess.

The British contributor on "Morning Joe" reported that Europeans are beginning to look for another way as the US has not repudiated trump.

Sad.

There is a racist contingent of Americans, but the message that I get from the election is that most voters want the country to stay close to the Center, no extremes. Yes, we have Magats that want extremes and we have far left people that want moon-shot change, but the majority of Americans are not there. Arizona shows us that moderate Democrats can win in a state like that, the question is whether we absorb that message.

Democrats, if they can, get the hell out of those places. In suburbs and exburbs, Trump get support, but that is waning with time. Look, if we scare suburbanites, Trump is going to peel some of them off. One thing that bothers me about our side is a desire for street action, that can become very counter-productive, I believe systematic voting solves problems, street action simply send people to their corners. A hard message, but nothing that I have seen changes my perspective.

I deal with a lot of people that many on DU would call racists if they didn’t dive deeper. My family are business people and Black, our success depends upon White employees and customers to a large measure. That is the simple reality. If we stay in our comfort zones, we learn very little about people’s true motives for decisions that they make, that is a hard reality that I had to learn.

Once Joe gets in and gets busy getting the virus under control and the economy back on track, the blatantly open racism will get tamped down and the deplorables won't feel so emboldened.

What I really hope happens is that the Fairness Doctrine is bought back and 24/7 hate radio and FOX get tamped down as well. The MAGATs have been listening and watching that stuff for decades now. No wonder they're so brainwashed.

The key is governments and private business people need to draw a hard line, any banks or housing or business evaluators that allow race to enter into their decisions simply don’t get deposits and their actions get publicized. I believe pocketbook actions bring about change far sooner and more sure than street action.
