Why didn't Hillary's team file for recounts in MI, WI and PA in 2016?
DU would have been all over that at the time but the site was down for nearly 3 weeks. The margins in those states was razor thin. Why did they just let the pig claim them all.

1. I seem to remember a recount in MI in 2016
but Jill Stein was involved and it ended up weird.

13. I believe Stein asked for a recount
But the judge said she couldn’t ask for one because it wouldn’t change the election for her.
At that trial the Clinton lawyers did not ask for a recount, saying they were only there to observe. |

Fond as I am of this forum, I doubt it would have made much difference if members here were 'all over' something.

5. There is razor thin and then really razor thin.
90%+ of recounts result in no change. Most the successful recounts have been on margins below 0.1%. Clinton was down by far more than that.
I think it is incredibly unlikely that a recount would have made any difference. Also didn't that piece of shit Stein sucker everyone's money to do a recount and it has essentially negligible effect. |

6. Because she lost and was grown-up enough to admit it
Those results squared with a broader pattern of Trump over performing in rural areas, narrowing margins in swing districts that we won and flipping districts that we won in 2012. Let's say she fought it and he won anyway (which he would have). That's called a terrible use of political capital. She chose to let us move on and not make a martyr out of Trump. I'm glad she did.

7. See above. Because they were realists.
It wouldn't have made any difference.
(and because Clinton had the history and demeanor of a public servant -- rather than a narcissistic ideologue) |

9. Because unless you are willing to throw out a lot of ballot during recount,
it isn't going to change the result too much. Republican do that and democrats don't.
