if Warnock wins there is another special election between him and the republican?
Would Warnock be the interim Senator then?
Would an eventual Warnock win give us control of the Senate?

(5,056 posts)1. We need 2 more seats right now (assuming a Biden win for VP tie break).
Gideon is down, Peters is down (currently D seat), Ossoff is down, Cunningham is down and the possible Warnock seat.

(5,056 posts)3. Last I read, Collin is hovering around 50% and could go to rank choice
I don't know if rank choice would pull Gideon ahead though.

If no one gets over 50%, it triggers an "automatic recount" or "runoff" where only the 2 top candidates remains. The people that the top candidate eliminated would be counted toward their secondary candidate choice.
The thinking is the 3rd party people would choose democrats. I don't know how true that is and if it's enough to pull Gideon ahead at the end.
