Can Trump pardon a contempt to court Citation. It is not a conviction so there is nothing to overturn

I hope Sullivan thrown DeJoy in jail for contempt and keeps him there until all of the mail in ballots arrive weather or not they will get counted.

Ford pardoned Nixon for any crimes he MAY have committed.
There was no trial, no convictions, but he got pardoned.
There clearly is a lot of latitude given POTUS, with respect to pardons.

Presidential pardon deserves a retinkering. No one ever thought someone would abuse it the way trump has, and likely plans to on his own behalf.

The lack of strictures in the Constitution would make laws on that subject very tricky.
Lawyers might figure out a way to do it, but tough sledding & lots of courts involved.

Even the pardon of Nixon for crimes he might one day be convicted of presupposed a conviction which could be set aside by the pardon. Contempt is a tool reserved to the court system for its own internal purposes.

Will the "lost" and "misplaced" and delayed ballots still be counted? Or were the criminals successful in making them invalid?
