Outside of cable TV and twitter this is a thing that just does not exist.

(4,392 posts)My 3x Nixon voting, 60 years as a Republican mother finally joined the Dem Party last year.

(19,348 posts)Biden received a solid 60 percent from both towns. (HRC and LBJ won them too, by a much smaller margin).

(7,681 posts)So I know that area well. It leans Republican maybe but we're hardly talking Murfreesboro, TN here.
Anyway, the point is not that there are none anywhere but that they are statistically insignificant.
Republicans love Trump. His numbers with R's actually went up this time. Trying to court these people is useless.

(67,782 posts)....at this time of knowing whether his numbers with republicans went up nationwide. In fact, there's no way of definitively knowing what his votes among republicans in 2016 were.

(14,971 posts)She thinks the party has gone way too far to the right and is becoming an Independent, which is probably what most Never Trumpers will do. She was never that political and voted GOP out of habit. No one group is monolithic.
Autumn
(45,120 posts)she just thinks they moved too far right. If Trump were not so far right she would have been happy to vote for him.

(4,399 posts)So polite to sip, not gulp down, the Kool-Aid publicly. Truth is, there's no minimal amount necessary, like slippery mercury, to kill democracy, and the broken beads on the hard floor of reason are so hard to clean up.
Question: Do PPEs include biohazard body bags?

(6,283 posts)The Lincoln project is full of them, and although they may not be a huge group, they are genuine never-trumper's. The OP states further down the thread that if Trump was more moderate these Republicans would have voted for him. If the nominee was a moderate, what the hell would the OP expect them to do? They're Republicans for Christ's sake! They may be Republicans or former Republicans, but they recognized a madman when they saw him, and are doing everything in their power to have him removed from the White House. It looks like the only thing this thread has accomplished is to belittle some du members relatives that in this case, have been our allies to help defeat trump, and elect Joe Biden.

(7,681 posts)I certainly did not.

(6,283 posts)It was Post Number 13, and someone agreeing with your OP I was addressing and was careless in misreading the name.
I apologize for the error. Other than that, I do stand by my assertion that never trumper's are genuine, and by denying that, one would have to ignore all of the Lincoln Projects efforts to remove Trump, and elect Joe Biden as worthless. Again, sorry for the misstatement.

(166 posts)Im the only one in the world who knows he didnt vote for Trump. He didnt even admit it to my mother, but I was there and he voted for Biden and admitted it to me. He hates admitting he was wrong (hes 80 years old and part of the silent generation). Its funny since my mother is a dyed in the wool Democrat and would pat him on the back for it.
