Headline from the New Yorker...

"Biden May Win, But Trump Remains the President of Red America"

FUCK Red America!

Those states are a social and economic drag on the rest of the states. How about they get their shit together? Then we can talk.
"Twelve of the bottom 13 are states Trump carried...
former states of the Confederacy, particularly the more conservative of them, don’t do well in these rankings: Mississippi, Alabama, and Louisiana are at the very bottom, while Arkansas (45th) and South Carolina (42nd) also do poorly. It’s an interesting commentary on the ancient reactionary idea that a low-tax, low-regulation, anti-union environment guarantees growth. If that were true, Alabama and Mississippi should be dynamos with high living standards. They really, really aren’t. But the myth endures that the good life is found where government is weak and job creators walk tall, particularly from the safe distance of conservative think tanks far away."

My state...WA... ranks first, but you should hear the Neanderthals from the Repub areas in rural Eastern Washington scream about being pushed around by the Western - educated, prosperous, progressive - part of the state. The counties over there are welfare queens and money-sucks... one and all. Without them, we'd be better off.

2. There is no Red America. There is no Blue America.

There is only the United States of America.

Someone said that a few years back and it seems just as relevant today.

We are a mix, every state and city has both parties in it so we have to find a way to tolerate each other. We both judge each other, we both think the other is wrong so we have to go beyond that.

1) I am NOT nearly as noble as Obama.

2) If you listened to Obama's last few campaign speeches, he wasn't all that reticent about calling trump an asshole. And - please remember - over 90% of Republicans approve of trump... and what he is. Where is their nobility... their spirit of national unity?

I used to say that same thing..."We need to be united.".. and I ended up with trump, McConnell, Graham, Inhofe, Gohmert, and the trump crime family. And almost half the voters love them and what they've done.

You seriously want to give them another chance?

I say again... Fuck 'em.

12. Rip a page out of Trump's playbook.

Which is a backhanded version of President Theodore Roosevelt, who said: "speak softly and carry a big stick".

Biden would be very good at this tactic, saying all the righteous and presidential words about togetherness and United we stand in public. Then coordinating with Harris to hamstring Republicans and cut the legs out from under them by using their past endorsements of Trump's worst acts. Make them all pay for what they did to this country

.. that is... "Burn your enemy."

That's NOT thinking like trump.... that's fighting back.
trump and Repubs have had this country down and been kicking us in the ribs for years. Abusing their power. Power appears to be their weapon of choice.
So now...we take away that power and show them how that feels. That might actually teach them a little empathy.

The RW propaganda machine, from Limbaugh to Koch Industries, has been working for decades to divide. Cambridge Analytica, facebook and Putin have greatly enhanced the efforts to the point we find ourselves now.

I propose a massive tax on guns and pickup trucks and cowboy boots.

After all we have to pay for the pandemic their "red state pretzeldent" allowed.

Silicon Valley, Seattle, to the universities in Mass., CT, ILL, and New Hampshire. Globally talented people pursuing their dreams in the arts, finance, Hollywood, and technology.

No one comes here to live and work in Mississippi, Alabama, Louisianna (except for New Orleans), Kentucky, or Tennessee. People move out of these states as soon as they can.
