5. Campaign files lawsuit to stop vote count

... The lawsuit alleges that a poll challenger from Roscommon County — a small, rural county in northern Michigan — was excluded from viewing the counting of the absentee ballot counting board. Unofficial voting totals show Trump won the county, earning 9,670 votes to Biden's 5,166.

The lawsuit does not specifically say where the man was when he was denied access to viewing the absentee ballot count. But the lawsuit does reference Oakland County, an area with many absentee ballots where Biden defeated Trump by a substantial margin ...

“Secretary Benson is violating the Michigan Constitution and Michigan election law by allowing absent voter ballots to be processed and counted without allowing challengers to observe the video of the ballot boxes into which these ballots are placed,” the lawsuit states.

The law cited by the Trump campaign in its lawsuit was recently passed by the Michigan Legislature. It makes no reference to allowing poll challengers to view video, merely that video surveillance is required for drop boxes installed after Oct. 1. Most drop boxes in the state were either installed before that time or do have video surveillance ...
